Debater of the Year

Team Spirit Award

The debater of the year award is determined every season by the students of the Hornet debate team. Students will nominate their teammates and then vote among themselves who they think best represents the debater of the year. Criteria are determined by individual voters but typically include things like - competitive success, work ethic, team leadership, and peer mentorship.
We have listed the previous winners below.

The "Team Spirit" award is an award that is decided by the coaches.  This award is given to recognize the student who demonstrates pride, loyalty, camaraderie, and support for the team, regardless of competitive success. It is our goal to help foster this vital element of team success by awarding one student every season.
